time requirement for probate

I would like to know the maximum time period allowed by the State of Texas for a will to be probated and settled.

A will must be probated within 4 years.

Re: time requirement for probate

Typically, a will must be probated within four years from the date of death. There may be an exception if you are using the will to demonstrate title to property only (i.e. you don't want an administration) but, you have to show a reason that it wasn't probated within the four years, such as fraud, or something of the sort.
