Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Trust Fund Placed in Stocks

When my father died he left a trust fund to be shared by myself & my step-sister. He also mede her the executor of the estate. According to the terms of the will no funds were to be distributed until the death of his wife (my stepmother). She passed In June of 2003 & I learned that the trust fund was totally invested in stocks. Finally, in February 2004 I had a meeting with my sister at the brokerage company & I decided to have my half of the trust released to me. This meant opening an account with the brokerage fund, etc. I now have learned that the delay in receiving my money is due to some forms which my sister must sign, plus submitting a copy of the death certificate. The brokerage firm is reluctant to tell me what the forms are that she must sign & submit, but nothing can be done until she has submitted these forms. Can you tell me what these forms might be?

Re: Trust Fund Placed in Stocks

It would be forms she would execute as the executrix of your father's estate, making distribution of your half to you.
