Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Vehicle Insurance

State Farm Insurance sends out a form to fill out to have a beneficiary for their insured in case of death of the insured. I was named the beneficiary for the vehicle loss money. He will most probably expire shortly. This will be a legal lawsuit for wrongful death filed by the family. I am only a friend, but was named beneficiary to the money for the vehicle. How does this work. State Farm says I need a lawyer to collect because he has a will.

Re: Vehicle Insurance

As a beneficiary of the proceeds of an insurance policy, you have no property to be disposed of in the will. State Farm should pay your claim as a beneficiary. Ask for a claim form. If they will not, I can send them the famous, attorney's nasty letter for a modest sum. Contact me by email if you want my assistance.
