Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

My wife and i have been married for 4 years, if i pass away will the house ,which is in my name and not paid for yet, go to my wife or do any of my grown kids have rights to it. no will as of yet. live in texas

Homesteads go to the heirs..ie wife and children but the surviving spouse has a right to remain in the property until their death..and unfortunately too frequently family arguments follow..why not make a will in your own handwriting at least..but most lawyers are not expensive

Your wife will have occupancy rights, and the kids receive it upon her death. This is a BAD idea. Draw up a will through an attorney's office. They're not expensive, and they will save your family a lot of headache.
