Legal Question in Workers Comp in Texas

about my attorney

i have a attorney for a retalaitory termination for filing texas workers comp lawsuit, and my lawyer called and said that she told defendants attorney that she wasn't experinced in this kind of case and that client doesn't have money to fight them can she say this to defendants attorney? she also told me to find another lawyer because i refused to accept a nuisance payoff of 1500.00 she says i will not get anything out of this lawsuit because i received workers comp checks for my injury. before this the defendants wanted a deposition, i have been trying to contact my attorney about this and no return calls, what can i do? can you refer me to someone who would continue on with the case, i do have a long paper trail to prove this case. thank you for your time. kay

Re: about my attorney

Most lawyers, we included, are reluctant to take retaliatory cases..we have..but depends on case..if you have terminated your lawyer and she has waived fees...call us...or if she is in our area..we may be able to help....but as long as you have a lawyer, we cannot help.
