Legal Question in Workers Comp in Texas

Hurt on the job in 1999. Required surgery of elbow and both shoulders. Several years a settlement had been requested but the IC didn't respond. I've moved from NY to Tx and found out Tx doesn't expect out of state claims so I haven't followed up with a doctor. IC wants to settle my claim now.

Can I still settle even though I don't have any recent MD reports?

As I understand u had a work comp claim in NY, hence u should call a NY lawyer in WC who could be found on the internet. You can probably settle but an eperienced NY lawyer would maximize the settlement..Good Luck
