Legal Question in Workers Comp in Texas

I would like to work for a "company" as contract labor. They want me to sign a agreement that i will not submit a claim on their workers comp ins. I live in texas. Is it legal for them to exclude me if i get hurt on the job? They want me voluntary elect to utilize an alternate method of payment for medical care

common practice...Texas is the only state of the 50 which does not require employer's to provide work comp insurance..Vote Republican
