Legal Question in Workers Comp in Texas

Does workmans comp pay for PRK?

I injured my eye at work 11yrs ago.

I was told by the insurance company that workmans comp would cover and pay for all bills that have to do with that eye that was injured I have been going to the eye Doctor ever since and they have been paying for the Bill, Know I have to have PRK Laser surgery on the same eye that is supposed to be covered and they will not pay because they say it is elective and I have some vision in that eye already. Can they do that?

Call the local Texas office for workers compensation...ask the doctor to appeal..but they should pay..if the wc commisssion will help. You can't pay an attorney to help...the law does not permit that
