Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Turkey

Finding a will

My Grandfather passed away a few months ago. We do not know if there is a will. He died in the US but was currently living in Turkey. How do we find out if he did have a will?

Re: Finding a will

There is no single way to find out if he had a will. The starting point would be to review all of his personal papers. Look for any legal or important documents. Next, if you know that he dealt with an attorney, contact that law office and inquire. Perhaps they have a copy of the document. Next, be sure to check to see if he had a safe or safe deposit box. Often wills are stored there. Make inquiy of other family members to see if he ever discussed making a will.
