Legal Question in Product Liability in United Arab Emirates

I am retail trader supplied a small engineering product of 272 pcs worth about Dhs.11,000/- bought from a market trader and supplied you renowned Engineering company. after 5 months after sales they claim through a laboratory report confirm the material supplied is not according to the specification mentioned on the body of the product and certificate provided by the manufacture given to our friend trader from market, the difference is in chemical composition of the metal used. Now the Engineering company claim from us about Dhs. 400,000/- as consequential or related loss due to usage of that product. Since we are trader and have no knowledge the chemical composition of the metal used and the certificate stated, being a china product of very low cost in comparison with European or American product, we would like to know as trader our liability ( in-terms with local local law and international law).
