by august 2012 its gona be nine years in this country i heard after 10 years i can apply for indefinite visa to cover up one year what do i need to do? i am on psw visa at the moment and i got two dependants on me

The 10 year route for settlement is based on 10 years lawful stay, and so in order to qualify for this route, you would need to have been lawfully resident throughout the entire 10 year period.

If you are currently on PSW you would need to either find a job with a work permit or else perhaps enrol on a student course for the 12 months, as you are no longer able to apply for Tier 1 General.
