Do the provisions in the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 adequately cover the internet?

The answer is basically yes but you would need to be more specific about what areas are of concern to you particularly. As well as the Act there is a considerable body of english common law that supports those areas where new media technology challenges the current Act.
