Legal Question in Employment Law in United Kingdom

My company is asking me to pay for personal telephone calls made from my work mobile phone, which is a term stated in my contract. therefore i am liable for the charges, i understand that. However i know for a fact that other members of staff in the company are not being charged for personal calls made on their work mobile phones. How can it be legally acceptable for them to charge one member of staff and not another.

Pleased to hear your comments.
