Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in United Kingdom

My partner moved out of his home 18 months ago in which he had bought with his ex. She stopped paying the mortgage and was even taking out his share when he was paying his half into the account and it got into arrears. He has now for the past year been paying the full mortgage plus the arrears in a seperate account opend up with the mortgage people. The ex doesnt pay a penny and is still living in the property, they were never married and have no children together is there anything we can do to move her out?

This would seem to be the clearest possible case of the need to apply to a court for an order that this jointly owned property be sold. the purpose of form which it was purchased- a joint home for your partner and his then girlfriend- no longer exists and as a joint owner of the property your partner is entitled to an order for sale under the Trusts of Land Act.The law giving him a right to have the property sold is fairly straightforward and the procedure not particularly difficult. further information and downloads to assist are available at:
