hurt on the job on the island/Bermuda

does the island of bermuda,by government law, require businesses to carry workers compensation on its employees? i was injured there and have since returned home to the u.s. to continue my therapy etc..,i still need one surgery and for some reason i am now being billed for the expenses.i cant get a return call from my employer in bermuda so can you help? what are my rights?

Hopefully an attorney from Bermuda will provide an answer. I strongly suspect, however, that in order to make any meaningful headway at all with your workman's compensation claim, you will need to return to Bermuda (and likely retain a qualified attorney) in order to do so.
