Legal Question in Real Estate Law in United States Virgin Islands

receiving of a timeshare deed

In January 1999, we purchased a timeshare in the Virgin Islands at Bluebeards Castle. In february of the same year we paid off the balance. We have not received a deed or any other information regarding the payoff. I have made repeated attempts to get information, but have had no luck. Bluebeards is owned by Equivest, located in the US (equivest.com). My question is ''is there a time limit on receiving a deed or is Equivest breaching a contract with us?''

Re: receiving of a timeshare deed

It appears to have been two years since you completed payoff. Review your contract to determine what you are to receive upon complete payment. Correspond to the company in writing, sending certified mail, return receipt requested and a copy by first class mail. give them a timeline to respond. Good luck. 713.266.2560
