Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in United States Virgin Islands

Durable power of attorney

I am living in California and my mother recently has been diagnosed with dementia. She lives in the US Virgin Islands. How/where do I get the form for power of attorney for her area or can I just get one for Calif., since I will be hopefully bringing her back here to live. Thank you.

Re: Durable power of attorney

You definitely will need one for California if you bring her back here. I do not know what the Virgin Islands will accept.

You may wish to become her conservator if her condition progresses. If you are in Southern California, you may contact me directly at (619) 222-3504.
