Legal Question in Employment Law in Utah

I am a Registered Nurse, graduated from school 1 year ago. When I was hired I was told I did not need any any further training, they would give me all the hands on training I needed. Last week all of the nurses that have less than 2 years experience were told we have to get an additional job to gain experience. I now have to work an additional 24 hours a month to keep my job. We have until May 1 2010 or we will be fired. I currently work full time for this company, 35-40 hrs a week. Can they require this of us under fair labor and standards?

Yes, they can. You still have to get paid, but no law requires a 40 hour work week.
