Legal Question in Consumer Law in Utah

During a routine service inspection, the dealer service center said i'd need a new transmission but that it would be covered under warranty. With that information, i had them proceed with the transmission. They took my VIN info at the time of initial service and just over a week later had the transmission and installed it. Now, they have told me that due the branded title on my vehicle, that Honda has denied the warranty and require that i pay them at least $2,800.

Am i legally obligated to pay this?

Probably not, but you will probably have to go to small claims court to get an order before they release your car.
