Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Utah

fare credit reporting

I had a repossion in 1996. I was sued in 2000, we tried to settle they didn't except. The judgement in court was dismished with prejudice. now it is 01-04-01 and we all still battleing it . according to the law and attornys they have to take it off my credit repot. With this on I can't get in a home or cars etc.

What legal rights do I have, can I sue for damages and wrongful credit repoting.

Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act you can sue for damages for reporting of wrongful information. You are entitled to your actual damages plus statutory damages of $500 and your attorney fees. Your actual damages is the amount of money which the wrongful posting actually cost you. Please call my office for a free consultation about this matter.
