Can someone who is suffering from M.S. be unable to manage finances and therefore receive help with debt?-or not be held completely responsible for their debt?

Re: mental health and debt

A person with MS is not automatically deemed to be mentally incompetent. In order to avoid responsibility for debt, the debtor will have to show at the time the debtor applied for or incurred the debt that he was incompetent and that the lender knew or should have known that the debtor was incompetent.
