Legal Question in Criminal Law in Utah

25 year old female 8 months pregnant first time getting a misdemeanor. How much is the misdemeanor going to cost along with court fees? Will I be sentenced to jail? What usually happens with first time offenders? this happened in the state of Utah. What do i need to expect when I go into court? it was a class b misdemeanor2 as well got caught stealing $140 worth of baby stuff at walmart. I was issued the class b misdemeanor ticket I was also given a sheet from walmart asset protection recovery for criminal and civil actions as well what should I expect from that money wise?

You will be required to pay a fine. You may be able to plead for a "plea in abeyance" - that will allow the charges to be dismissed if you finish the terms of a probation. Walmart will require you to pay for the goods, and maybe some additional money.
