Legal Question in Entertainment Law in Utah

golf ball hitting a house who is responsible for the damage.

My question is simply who is resposible for damage done to a house that is built adjacent to a golf course when a golfers ball does damage to that property. I would like to know the answer to this question and some court rulings that pertain to this question.

I do not have a cite for you, but recall reading of just such a case here in St. Louis, the situation further developing into a fistfight. The holding was, if I recall, that the homeowner assumed the risk by building next to the course and that barring abnormal negligence (as opposed to mere error) the golfer had no liability.
