Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

Alimony

My husband was married before and he paid alimony and child support. His Ex-wife remarried and so the alimony stopped she then got an annulment and told him she didn--name removed--expect him to start paying again. Now she wants him to start paying it up. My question is if the courts can enforce that he pay again even though she did get married.

Thank you.

Re: Alimony

Without more facts it is impossible to answer your question. The law states that if a person cohabitates or remarries then alimony stops. Do not volunteer to pay the alimony, make her prove she is entitled to it after the annulment.
