Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

I am a divorced U.S. citizen and have sole custody of my minor son, also a U.S. citizen. Will I need any legal document to take a vacation in Canada?

Sole legal custody? Much depends on how the decree is worded. If you are on speaking terms with your ex, it would help to have a document showing that she has given consent. To obtain a passport, usually consent from both parties is required. I believe even Canada now requires a passport (or at least they should be).
