Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

I have full custody of our 10 yr old son. His father moved out of state over a year ago and has taken my son once for extended parent time during the summer, could't handle our son and brought him home a 3 weeks early. My son's father moved to another state after bring my son home from the parent time. We have phone time set up for once a week per my ex's request and he doesn't call which hurts my son deeply. We have an ORS case open and he doesn't pay child support. My son is to the point he doesn't want to see or talk to his dad anymore. Do I have to force my son to see his dad per the court order or is my son allowed to refuse to go?

If there is a court order awarding the father parent time, you have an obligation to make sure he has access to his child. Obviously, considering the issues you're experiencing with your son, you many want to discuss them with your ex and possibly involve both your ex and your son in counseling.
