Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

Marriage Laws

My husband & I were thinking of divorcing, but have decided to stay together. He wants to divorce legally, yet stay together, just to protect his company & company assets. He's afraid if after time we still don't work out I will take 1/2 of his Company. Is there another way to protect his business without filling divorce papers, such as a contract or prenup agreement?

Re: Marriage Laws

#1 - You need to see a mental health professional. You may suffer from battered wife syndrome.

#2 - You are probably entitled to 1/2 of his company. Apparently he thinks more of his company than his wife.

#3 - You can divorce and enter into a support agreement where you get sufficient funds to support yourself while he keeps his precious company.

#4 - Make sure you get a tough lawyer.

You may call for a free consultation.
