Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

I am the mother of my child, the father and I were never married. He is NOT on the birth certificate but I want to file for sole custody so that I have it legal. How do I do that? I live in Utah.

If father is not on birth certificate he has no rights unless he files for them You do not need to file - unless you want the father to be required to pay child support and/or play a role in the life of the child.
