Legal Question in Employment Law in Utah
Can en employer take back a bonus and "repay" it as an advance? I bonus was paid, weeks later a pay stub showed a negative bonus and positive "advance", both in the amounts of the bonus. There were not any conditions or terms set when the bonus was given, it was not a commission and was on top of salary.

You will have to work this out with your employer unless the bonus was part of a written agreement or performance policy.
