A person was involved in a car wreck and used my licence i dont know the person it was idenity teift it was in the state of nevada.a collection agancy is after me for $1499.60 for proprerty damage of gardrail the car was not owend by me i live in the state of utah the accident report had my name and licnece # my question is am i responseble for this matter the d.o.t. of nevada turned it to yhe collection agancy this accedent happend in 9/28/2002 thanks brent

You are not responsible if you can prove you were not involved in the accident. You should report the stolen ID to the police. You will also need to pull your credit history at the three credit agencies and begin the task of sorting out which debts are yours and which are fraudulent.
