Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Utah

Assets owned by a Corporation

Is there a website where you can insert a corporation's name (public or privately held) and get a list of assets, real estate that it owns?

We are working on a litigation matter and trying to find out what real estate property or assets a company owns in the US.

Thanks.

There's no such place to search for all assets. In some circumstances one can get a court order to require a party to declare under oath what and where their assets are, but that's not too likely in a pre-litigation setting, which I take it is your situation. After judgment it is routine to do that.

The other option is to search each separate county recorder's office for real property records, the Departent of Commerce site for chattel mortgages, and the DMV for a record of vehicles owned. A few county recorders have information available on-line free but most require payment, as does the DMV.
