Difference between no contest and a guilty plea

What is the biggest difference between a guilty plea and a plea of no contest? I was recently in a car accident where I was cut-off by another driver who did not stop, which resulted in me losing control of my vehicle due to icy conditions where I was cited for failure to control.

The only "benefit" to a no contest plea instead of a guilty is that it wont be used against you in a civil suit where the fault of the accident may be at issue and they want to use your conviction or guilty plea to show that you were in the wrong. If you plead guilty or are convicted, then it can.
