Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

I hurt my back and was told I could return to work on light duty no lifting over 5 lbs. I have been back 3 days and now my managers says that I can't work on light duty that I have to stay out until fully recovered

If you are on light duty due to a workers' compensation injury and the employer will not provide you with a light duty job, then the workers comp insurance company should pay you workers comp for your time missing from work.
