Legal Question in Disability Law in Virginia

what is required to obtain a restraining order aganst a woman that is not a threat but will not quit stalking. i live in the state of virginia and dont know if i even have the legal right to a restraining order. any help would be great.

Stalking is recognized as a criminal offense in the Commonwealth, per

Va Code Sec. 18.2-60.3, and you could file a criminal complaint against such

a person such as you've described under this statute or even seek a preliminary protective order under Va. Code Sec. 19.2-152.9.

There should be no need to fool with a restraining order when you have remedies such as described above.
