Legal Question in Disability Law in Virginia

i wrote a check for my daughter rent put soon as i sent it she told me she was getting put out and i put a stop payment on the check. now i am being sured by the landlord saying i still owed because i help pay before. my name is not on her lease. i have to write a ground for defense. I leave in virginia. show i have to pay her bill.

No, not if your name is not on your daughter's lease nor you

otherwise did not guarantee payment of her lease (in my opinion).
