creditor freezing accounts

Can a credit card company freeze your checking account with no notice even when you are paying something to them every month although it is less than the minimum due?

If you have a checking account at the same bank, they may have that right. If they have a judgment against you, they certainly could. Otherwise, I can't think of any other ways that it could happen.
