Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Virginia

Need legal advice

I am in unsecured debt(credit cards and personal loans)I really overextended myself.I do not have a house.I have a lien on my vehicle and I do have maybe $4,100 in my 401 k.I have to be in court on Nov 18th with a warrant in debt.I am barely just making enough money to get by.I cannot afford to get my wages garnished.I am considering bankruptcy and my credit is bad what do you recommend

Your 401(k) is exempt from creditor process under VA law and you can exempt up to $7,000 total equity in your vehicle by combining allowable exemptions. You need to consult with a local bankruptcy attorney, ASAP. You should not wait and let them get a judgment against you.
