Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Virginia

Unethical practices

Female coach gets fired from varsity girl's basketball and volleyball teams. Reasons stated:No player retention, coaching by intimidation, vulgar language used in front of players. Addressed as failure to meet policies of the coaches handbook and county human rights policy. Nothing in coaches personnel file as far as reprimands or meetings addressing any of these alledged problems. And there is definitely proof that other coaches (men) have displayed these actions and not been terminated. I applied for basketball coaching job.I have a total of 13 years coaching high school girl's basketball I was told they definitely wanted me to remain as assistant.I declined the proposal and resigned. They hired two men as head coaches. The head basketball coach has zero girl's experience and only 6 total years boy's basketball experience. Is there anything that either one of us can do as far as sex discrimination, no due process, failure to follow their own policy and procedures handbook? I know coaching contracts are not continuing and there is a no cause clause (although you can't have an action without a cause)It just seems like they have to support statements made.

To find out if you have a Title VII case for sex discrimination contact the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission [blue pages front of phone book under federal government] and request an investigation of your complaints.
