Credit vs cash
Is it legal to charge a credit card customer more than a cash customer?
Re: Credit vs cash
Businesses routinely charge a premium price when customers pay with a credit card. This offsets the merchant account fees that the businesses must pay to process credit cards. Plus, credit card users could later dispute charges, leaving the merchant without payment.
Cash is easy and a sure thing for businesses, so they might offer a lower cash price for goods or services.
I am unaware of any laws that prevent these practices.
