Refund

Last year in around January my ex fiance and I made a payment to a wedding chapel, but we never got married because we separated we're no longer engaged.

Can either of us get that money back after 1 year and 1/2?

Probably not, but why not check your receipt for the down payment to determine whether it says anything about your right to a refund? But, if not, or you can't find the receipt, then call the chapel and ask them.
