Return of a new car

I brought a car on the 18th. I would like to return it. I went to the dealer yesterday and they said there is nothing they can do about it. Can you help.

Re: Return of a new car

Yes, DO THIS TODAY: Immediately write a letter stating that you are canceling the transaction. Mention that you previously notified them of this in person (explain where and when). Deliver this. I would also mail a photocopy to yourself and do not open the envelope. I would also send a copy to them by certified mail (but it might not arrive within 3 days

Now, I can't say for sure that you have a right to cancel. I believe you do. I would want to read the contract to be sure.

However, if you don't have a WRITTEN RECORD as PROOF that you canceled within (I believe) 3 days, then you may lose any rights that you may have.
