collection of alimony

can a lien be placed against my ex-husbands home? He has remarried. I'm sure the home is in his and his wife's name. What are my chances of this working? The amount is aprox 45,000.00 He lives in Tennessee

Sure, if you obtained a valid judgment from a court of proper jurisdiction against your former spouse, you could file a lien against the Tennessee property. However, if he holds title to the property jointly with his current wife by what the law calls "tenants by the entireties", you would not be able to foreclose the lien to collect on your judgment.
