Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

I went to see a dentist and he asked me to sign an agreement that I will pay the bill if my assurance refuse to pay. Later, I found out that my insurance work with primary care doctor and the dentist was not in their list. Actually, the dentist wants me to pay more than the double of what I signed for explaining that he has different prices for those without insurance. I still have the copy of the first agreement. Do I have to pay the new bill or the first bill?

Without reviewing this agreement, it would be difficult to

opine reliably on the matter (in my opinion).
