A friend' s co-sign

My friend co-signed on an ex girlfriend's car, she hasn't payed in two months now. Is there any way for him to get out of the contract, and will he have to pay the owed money?

No, very unlikely, unless he can get his ex girlfriend to agree to sell it after s/he manages to locate a willing buyer. The proceeds from the sale could then be used to pay off the outstanding loan on the vehicle (or, hopefully, at least most of what remains outstanding).
