Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

levy on property

I am currently living with my father. the sheriffs department is coming to put a levy on property. 99% of the things in that house are his. The sheriff said he has to prove that the things are owned by him. Is there anything I can do ?

Make sure that the deputy doesn't levy against those 1% items of personal property in the house which belong to you.
