Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

Repo man busted my garage door

long story short, the repo man

came to pick up my ex's car which

was only parked in my garage. No,

we werent '' hiding '' it, I always let

her park in my garage when she

comes over. we werent home at

the time, but when we got home,

my neighbor came over and said a

man in a tow truck, was banging on

my garage door almost as if he was

breaking into the garage, and

when he couldnt get in, my

neighbor said he looked in my

mailbox, and went through my mail.

All in all, he left a business card on

the garage door, and the entire

door needs to be replaced

according to 2 garage door

companies. ( frame of the door

bent, motor sounds rough).

needless to say, he never got in

the garage, the car is still here.

When I called the number he left,

he said he had a police officer with

him for the repossession, which my

neighbor said he didnt. my question

is what do or can I do and what are

my options for getting my property

fixed by him? as a side note, he has

yet to come by and pick up her car,

even after I said he was more than

welcome to come by and pick it up.

Im home all day long.

Re: Repo man busted my garage door

Send written notice to Mr. Repo demanding full payment by a date certain for the damages which he allegedly caused to your garage door.

And, if no payment is then forthcoming, file your case against him in your local small claims court.
