Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

statue of limitations in VA

Insurance company attemtping to collect a debt filed claim in 5/06, case was non suited in 11/06 , case dismissed General district court 4/07. They appealed it 5/07, 8/07 req. to continue trial, 9/07 we requested proof of documents, 9/07 they filed mot. to continue trial date 11/07 now its set for 4/08 . Still have not rec'd from insurance lawyer any documents to support their claim, isn't there a time frame they have to produce and finally go to trial. When they first sent debt collection letters to me in '05 we requested documents to prove claim at that time and still have not rec'd anything

Re: statue of limitations in VA

Well, if such be the case, why haven't "we" filed a motion to compel the plaintiff's compliance with your aforementioned discovery requests?
