Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

I need advice my sister Janet got convited of a felony and was senteced to do three months in jail. She was in almart with her friend at the time dawn female. dawn drove my sis to the store. janet she put her purse in the dawns cart and dawn and her child went one way and my sister went another way.thinking her purse would be ok b/c it was with her friend. After janet gets all of her stuff she finds dawn and get her purse and pays for the stuff she pickedd out. dawn has already left the store my sis walks out and the alarm goes off. My sister stops not knowing what happened. the security gaurd came and talked to my sis she showed the reciept for the items that she bought, he then asked if he could check her purse. she said yes with no complications. nhe found items that had been put in her purse by dawn when she had it. dawn has left janet at the store. janet didnt know about the stolen goods. she cooperated with the guard the cop and more. Janet caught a ride with dawn to the store from d begining. the gaurd testified stating that he saw my sis janet putting thing in her purse. he then also said that he seen dawn putting thing in her purse as well. personal question for of record my thing is he say that he seen them both enter the store together how can he say that he seen them both putting things in there purses at the same time why wouldn't he do something. for the record he then testified that dawn got away but he caught my sister. he testfied that dawn was a white woman at the first trial.He then testified that she was a black woman at the second time. from his report that he took at the time of the incident stated that the other woman was a white woman with a child. this gentleman is an older Caucasian Male. My siter is a African American woman And ms. Dawn is a Caucasian Woman. Janet got convicted for a felony for items not even worth over 100 bucks. They have no video of my sister at all. Can some one please help me she got kids im young she is a single mom and im all she got and i cant do it on my own please

Now that your sister's trial is over in which she apparently was convicted, your request for assistance with her case would appear to be more than a little late. If 30 days have not yet elapsed from the date of her conviction(assuming it occurred in the circuit court), she could file an appeal to the appropriate Virginia appellate court, but based upon the facts described, I doubt that it would have any chance of success.
