Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
I got charged with pettie larceny. I've had 2 convictions in the past, one about 10 years ago. When the police ran my record, only one showed up. Can I be recharged wtih a felony,if they missed over the one charge? Is it because it was so long ago that it just didn't show up?

Sure, you could be charged or recharged as the incuclating facts in the
indictment may strongly suggest as matters go along.
However, if you have a scintilla of sumise that the majority might
have gottin' it wrong, you could then lodge an appeal in the the matter.
