Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

commonwealth attorney

Someone called the police while i was arguing with friends and they are now facing robbery charges. i didn't make any written statement to the police but they were arrested based on the circumstances (scuffle and $40 taken out of my wallet, which they were trying to give back; they called several times and sent several text messages). I now want to do my part to help this case get dropped. What can i do and how can i find out who is the prosecutor in charge of this case and how do i go about doing all that?

thanks
